I feel very fortunate that I get to work from home. I am the Director of Marketing & Design (among many other titles) for Gasper’s School of Dance. Most days, I wake up when I wake up (I’m not a morning person) and I stay in PJs or leggings. I know I’m very lucky to have a job that I can do from home.
For this layout I used the Shimelle: Box of Crayons paper line and embellishments to highlight a “Work from Home” picture.
First, I colored the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks (colors listed in the product list below) and the smooching technique with acetate. I was inspired by the rainbow colors in the dotted paper to create the background.
Next, I layered on various papers from the Shimelle: Box of Crayons 6×6 paper pad behind my photo.
I added my title using the Shimelle: Box of Crayon Thickers (LOVE THESE and the colors they offer!!) As well as used stickers from the Shimelle: Box of Crayons Sticker / Washi Book, and some older products from PinkFresh Studio (the wood chevron pieces).
And here are the final results!
I love that I’m able to create again and put times towards creating. Working from home is GREAT, but I seem to never find the balance to stop working. Just last night I was still working at 10:30pm. So taking time to create and find those moments to not work is a blessing. #createfreely
