Hello! I’m excited to share another creation on the Ink Road Blog this month is a Word Find card. I LOVED (and still do) Word Finds as a kid. When I saw the Ink Road Stamps: Block Party Alpha I thought it would be perfect for a word find project.
I began by drawing a grid on a piece of white card stock. This gave me the ability to map out where the letters will go and make the process of stamping them much easier.
I first became with the placement of my sentiment. Originally I was going to just stamp this in one color, but eventually changed my mind.
I stamped the Thank You in Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Mermaid Lagoon. Then filled the card front with random letters in the rest of the boxes using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke
At this stage I felt the card needed more. So I decided to restamp “Thank You” onto some white card stock in a rainbow of colors. I then fussy cut these letters out and popped them up with foam adhesive on the card over the previously stamped “Thank You”.
I erased all the lines and trimmed the edge and popped it up on some black card stock.
And there you have it! A simple card using one stamp set and card stock. Thank you for joining me today! #createfreely
