I attended Academy of Art University for a BFA in Graphic Design and an emphasis on branding. I love print, paper (of course) and branding. When it comes to branding I find it important to tell a story, to give an end consumer an experience that connects them with the company.
One of my favorite pieces of work is the design I did for my Father-in-Laws memorial dance concert, LEGACY. I created an experience before people even entered the theatre. All the pieces of this concert worked together. From the cocktail party to the poster, and program. And this all connected with what was presented on stage by the dancers.
In my work for Gasper's School of Dance. I also work on creating an image of the studio that people can feel and experience before they even enter into the studio. The look and feel of our marketing is how we want people to feel when they enter the doors. With 44+ years of studio experience in our area, it is important for me to portray the professionalism of the studio, the elite training, and a fun downtown industrial atmosphere. This can be felt on our website, brochures, advertising and more!
When it came to my logo, I wanted something colorful, because I love the color combination of rainbows. I wanted something playful, so a scripty, handwritten font was something that interest me. Because I create a variety of times from digital cut files to mugs and scrapbook layouts. I wanted something that would fit my many "hats". I feel I have a bubbly personality and so I want to portray that in my logo. Something bright, flowing, balance and bold.
